Bathroom Flooring | Powder Room Friendly

Article

You don’t hear of carpet in the bathroom very often, do you? Personally, we haven’t had very many clients choose carpet in their powder room either. We came across an article on HGTV, that actually had carpet flooring as an option! Here is what that article stated:

“Many people think that carpet isn’t a reasonable option for potentially waterlogged bathrooms. However, all you need to do is make some carful choices. As long as your carpet is water, mildew, and stain resistant with a backing that doesn’t allow water to seep into the pad—you’re good to go. And it’s worth looking for options within those parameters. Not only does carpet provide softness and warmth underfoot, but the color and pattern options are practically limitless, too.”

We couldn’t agree more with what Heather J. Paper stated; carpet is definitely not for everyone. If carpet is your personal style, by all means go for it, just take in certain considerations. Ask yourself these simple questions:

  1. Is the carpet water resistant?
  2. Is the carpet mildew resistant?
  3. Is the carpet stain resistant?
  4. Is the carpet durable?

Make sure to compare bathroom-flooring surfaces to find the best option for your powder room. You don’t want to hate your decision years down the road!
